What we collect
We only collect data you actively provide. If you run every calculator on this site and close the tab without submitting anything, we have nothing on you.

How we use it

- Improve the calculators using aggregate, anonymized usage patterns. We do not use individual calc inputs for this purpose.
We do not use your data for advertising, retargeting, or any purpose not listed above.
Pop-up lead capture form
On most pages of this site we display a one-time pop-up form that offers to match you with vetted refinance lenders. Here is everything you need to know about it.
The form can appear after any of three triggers: your mouse cursor leaves the top of the browser window (exit intent), you have been on the page for 25 seconds, or you have scrolled past 60% of the page. Only one trigger fires per visit.
The pop-up is suppressed on all /tools/* calculator pages (those wizards already collect your information inline, so a second form would be redundant), and on the legal pages /privacy/, /terms/, and /partners/.
First name, email address, mobile phone number, ZIP code, estimated loan amount, and self-reported credit score range. These are the same fields as the lender-match form on the calculator pages.
If you close the form without submitting, we store a flag in your browser's localStorage that suppresses the pop-up for 7 days. If you submit successfully, we store a permanent flag so the pop-up never appears again in that browser. We do not use cookies for this; both flags are localStorage only and stay on your device.
Exactly the same as the calculator lender-match flow. Your information is sent to 3 to 5 vetted mortgage lenders licensed in your state who prepare rate quotes for you. All opt-out, revocation, deletion, and access rights described in this policy apply equally to submissions from the pop-up form.
The pop-up includes an explicit TCPA express written consent checkbox. Checking it and clicking submit is your consent for RobotRefi and its lender partners to contact you by phone, text, and email using automated systems. That checkbox is required before the form submits. See the TCPA section below for full detail and revocation instructions.
CAN-SPAM / commercial email
If you submit either the calculator lender-match form or the pop-up form, you agree to receive commercial emails from RobotRefi about mortgage rates and related products.
- Every commercial email will include a working one-click unsubscribe link.
- Every commercial email will include our physical mailing address as required by the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Physical mailing address: RobotRefi, PO Box 2186, Cheyenne, WY 82003.
- If you unsubscribe, we will stop sending commercial emails within 10 business days as required by CAN-SPAM.
- Transactional messages (for example, a confirmation that we received your request) are not commercial emails and are not subject to unsubscribe under CAN-SPAM, though you can still ask us to delete your data entirely.
TCPA / phone contact consent
By submitting the lender-match form with a phone number, you consent to be contacted by RobotRefi and its lender partners by phone, text, or email, including using automated dialing systems and pre-recorded messages.
This consent is NOT a condition of purchase or service. You can use RobotRefi's calculators without submitting the lender-match form.
To revoke consent at any time:
- Reply STOP to any text message you receive.
- Click the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Email [email protected] and we will remove you within 10 business days.
Retention
Kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Kept for 90 days after last contact with you, then deleted, unless you become a customer of one of our lender partners.
Deleted after 30 days unless attached to an active lender match in progress.
Retained per Cloudflare's standard rolling-window policy. Not linked to your personal information.
Your rights
California residents and everyone else get the same treatment here.
Every email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. No login required.
CCPA opt-out is effectively moot here because we do not sell your data and never have. We state it explicitly: we have never sold or rented personal data and have no intention of doing so.
Email [email protected] with "delete my data" in the subject. We will remove you from all systems within 10 business days and confirm when done.

Children
This site is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor submitted information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.
Changes
If we materially change how we handle your data, we will update this page and bump the "last updated" date at the top. We will not retroactively apply new practices to data you submitted under previous terms without giving you a chance to opt out.
