Refinance guides worth your time.

All guides

Common questions.

Is this really free?

Yes. All nine calculators, all guides, all results. No paywall, no trial, no credit card. The math runs in your browser. We make money only if you choose to request a lender quote through ROBO, and only if a lender pays a referral fee. That never changes what the calculator tells you.

Do you sell my email or pull my credit?

No on both. We never pull credit. We never sell your email to lenders, advertisers, or anyone else. If you opt in to rate alerts, you get rate alerts. That is it. You can unsubscribe any time.

Can I get an actual lender quote?

After you run the calculator, ROBO can connect you with lenders who will compete for your loan. You decide whether to request quotes. No obligation. No auto-enrollment. The calculator result does not change based on whether you ask for quotes or not.

Who built this?

David Park, a former mortgage loan officer with 12 years in the industry. He built RobotRefi after watching too many clients pay $5,000 to $8,000 in broker fees for calculations that take a computer about 80 milliseconds. The math is not secret. He decided to give it away.

Why should I trust the math?

ROBO uses the same standard amortization formula every lender uses: P x i / (1 - (1+i)^-n). Break-even is closing costs divided by monthly savings. Lifetime savings subtracts closing costs. There is no proprietary scoring, no opaque model, no fudging. If you want to check the arithmetic, open browser developer tools and read the source.
